MY PODCAST WORK

Bitter blood: Murdoch v. murdoch (2023)

I was the showrunner and writer on this eight-part series, examining how the Murdoch media empire has influenced governments and changed the course of history, and how Rupert Murdoch's children have gone to war with each other to become their father's favorite and heir to his businesses. Narrated by “Succession’s” Alan Ruck.

american football (2022)

I'm not really a big sports guy. But I AM a big history guy. I helped develop, produce, and write "American Football: How the Gridiron was Forged." Presented by Michael Strahan (Hall of Fame defensive end for the New York Giants) and narrated by actress Kate Mara ("The Martian," "House of Cards"), this is the untold tale of the tumultuous, bloody, rough-and-tumble origins of America's most popular sport.

THE STAIRCASE (2022)

I was the showrunner and writer on the official HBO Max companion podcast to "The Staircase," in which host Nancy Miller takes an episode by episode deep dive into the wildly popular drama, interviewing cast and crew, as well as case experts and academics to unpack the science, history, and psychology behind the case. The Staircase Podcast was produced by HBO Max in conjunction with Campfire Studios, in association with High Five Content.

NINE DAYS IN JULY (2019)

9 Days in July is a brand new podcast documentary series distributed by iHeartRadio.

You think you know the story of Apollo 11, but you don’t. What you’ve heard are the exact same soundbites, repeated over and over again. But this is the history you’ve never heard before, covering the mission from start to finish — day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute — revealing what happened in between all those famous soundbites. We’ll also be stepping out of the spacecraft to tell you the sorts of stories that will give context to everything else you’ll hear. We’ll delve into who the astronauts were, how they trained, the toll their mission took on their families back home, and what happened in the months and years after they returned to Earth as its first reality stars. Plus we’ll learn about the Russian side of the Space Race — a race, it might surprise you to learn, the United States was losing right up until the very end.

Stow away aboard Apollo 11 with writer and host Brandon Fibbs for a look at this extraordinary event. Using never-before-heard audio from inside the spacecraft and the consoles of Mission Control, and suffused with original music and fully immersive sound effects, 9 Days in July will be the next best thing to actually being there.

wikisurfer (2019)

Welcome to Wikisurfer, a kind of experiment in podcast storytelling. Basically the format is this – two guys – Brandon Fibbs and Kyle Sullivan – each pick a starting topic on Wikipedia, crack it open, and see what hides inside. Moving purely on curiosity, hopping from hyperlink to hyperlink, they pick the best, weirdest, most wonderful stories possible.

LOVE UNDER LOCKDOWN (2020)

“Love Under Lockdown” plunges us into the intimate daily lives of four couples quarantining together in the pressure cooker of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through raw, confessional audio and a moody original score, “Love Under Lockdown” is both a time capsule of the strangest year of our lives, and a timeless meditation on love in all its forms.
