My name is Brandon Fibbs. I am a writer/producer/director of Emmy-winning television documentaries like FOX’s Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey, National Geographic’s The Story of God with Morgan Freeman, the Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown, Tales from the Explorers Club, and Naked and Afraid XL, the Science Channel’s Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman and Man vs. The Universe, as well as podcasts like iHeartRadio’s 9 Days in July, HBO Max’s The Staircase, the award-winning series’ American Football: How the Gridiron was Forged and Bitter Blood: Murdoch v. Murdoch, and my artisanal series, Wikisurfer.

I am a communications expert with both deep and diverse experience, including more than half a decade as a journalist and syndicated film critic, as well as a technical writer for public relations firms, media relations organizations, and the U.S. government. Before that, I called the cockpit of an S-3 Viking — a naval sub-hunting aircraft — my office.

If I had the ability to go back in time and tell my younger self exactly what would light me on fire as an adult, I would have pursued a career in science or history. Today, I do the next best thing — hunt down the most flabbergasting stories out there and share them with a world hungry for narratives about awe and exploration, unlocking the secrets of the universe, and the human adventure.
